WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – It was a day of smiles, happy tears and celebrating Tuesday as members of UNCW’s nine Panhellinic sororities welcomed their newest members and wrapped up fall recruitment.

Commonly referred to as Bid Day, it marked the day that new members discovered which sororities they were given a bid to join.

Through the recruitment process, potential new members learned about and met with each of the Panhellinic sororities on campus.

According to the school's website, more than 12.2 percent of UNCW undergrads are part of a fraternity or sorority. For more information on Greek Life at UNCW, click here.
