WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – High pressure will dominate much of the southeast bringing sunny skies and high temperatures in the low 60s for Thanksgiving Day. Breezy conditions are expected throughout the day, as well. Winds will peak between 10-15 mph. However, winds will diminish overnight allowing low temperatures to drop into the upper 30s.

Temperatures will climb Friday into the mid 60s and skies will remain sunny. Lows will fall into the low 40s.

A cold front will swing through the area overnight Friday dropping our weekend temperatures into the mid to upper 50s and low to mid 30s at night. The weekend will be very nice despite the minor temperature drop.
