Former Raleigh Mayor takes over NC Ports in interim | Transportation

RALEIGH, NC (WECT) - Former Raleigh Mayor Thomas Bradshaw will head up the North Carolina Ports and Global Transpark on an interim basis.

Bradshaw will become the Statewide Logistics Coordinator Monday.  Bradshaw's duties will include overseeing all operations of the ports and transpark.  He was the mayor of Raleigh from 1971-1973 and also the state Secretary of Transportation from 1977 to 1981.

A nationwide search for the permanent Statewide Logistics Coordinator is expected to begin in the months ahead.

Earlier this month, the state announced Tom Eagar would no longer be in charge of the NC Ports.
