TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Section of Oleander Dr. closed for rail crossing improvements | Traffic

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – A section of Oleander Drive will be closed this week in order for the N.C. Department of Transportation to make improvements to a rail crossing.

Oleander Drive between Dawson Street and Mimosa Place will be closed from 9 a.m. on Monday, March 19 until 11 p.m. on Thursday, March 22, according to a news release.

Detours will take westbound traffic onto South College Road, right on Shipyard Boulevard and right on Carolina Beach Road to avoid the construction area. Eastbound travelers will reportedly follow the same detour, just in reverse.
