UNCW names new women's tennis coach | Tennis

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - UNCW named a new women's tennis coach Friday.

Evan Clark, who was most recently the University of Maryland assistant men's coach, will become the university's 11th head coach.

Clark replaces Jenny Garrity, who moved to Clemson, SC earlier this summer after 12 years at UNCW. 

Clark, 28, served as an assistant at Missouri-Kansas City, Penn State and Maryland.

UNCW Women's Tennis was 15-7 in spring play last year, with a 9th consecutive winning season and a rank of #67 in the ITA.
