Audi dealership coming to Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - An Audi dealership is scheduled to be coming to the Port City, according to a press release.

Audi Cape Fear is expected to open in February of next year, and will be located at the corner of Eastwood Road and Racine Drive.

The same team that operates Land Rover Cape Fear will run the dealership.

UNCW student takes home crown for Miss North Carolina USA 2012

UNCW student takes home crown for Miss North Carolina USA 2012

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - UNCW senior Sydney Perry was crowned Miss North Carolina USA 2012 on Nov. 12, according to a press release from Yvonne Garand.

Following her win, Perry will go onto compete for the title of Miss USA 2012 in Las Vegas.

The title of Miss North Carolina Teen USA 2012 went to Katherine Puryear.

The two were crowned during a dual competition featuring 89 contestants at the High Point Theatre and Exhibition Center in High Point.

Runners up for Miss North Carolina USA included Whitney Jones, Laura Puleo, Elizabeth Carty and Rachel Gainey.

Runners up for Miss North Carolina Teen USA were Lindsay Baker, Emily Farrington, Victoria Vesce and Shelby Howell.

Belk Spring Charity Sale will be tomorrow from 6-10 a.m.

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) — Both of the Belk's located in Wilmington will be participating in the Belk Spring Charity Sale on Saturday, April 16 from 6 to 10 a.m.

The sale will benefit local charities, schools and nonprofit organizations, according to a press release from the store.

In exchange for a $5 donation, customers will receive a ticket admitting them to the charity sale and entitling them to merchandise discounts ranging from 20-70% off. Customers who purchase tickets will receive $5 off their first purchase of $5 or more at the event, and Belk Rewards cardholders will receive double Rewards points, and Belk Elite cardholders triple Rewards points, for card purchases.

The Belk in Independence Mall, located at 3500 Oleander Drive, and the location in Mayfaire at 940 Inspiration Drive will be participating.
