Boy Scout raising money for flag pole at CFCI

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) — A local Boy Scout is looking to raise approximately $2,000 to purchase and install a flag pole at the new location of the Cape Fear Center for Inquiry (CFCI).

Forrest Graham, an alumni of CFCI and current student at Hoggard High, is looking to obtain the rank of Eagle Scout as a part of Troop 215. He hopes to do so by leading the fundraising effort for the school.

Currently there is no flag pole in the budget or building plan for the new building at 2525 Wonder Way in Wilmington.

In addition to seeking donations, Forrest is planning a yard sale and a car wash. He hopes to have the flagpole in place by the time the school opens in the fall.
