'Art for the Masses' connects students to the community | People

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Connecting students to the professionals in their industry is a priceless opportunity, especially if the student has the chance to sell their product to the community. UNCW'S 10th annual 'Art for the Masses' does just that.

During Art for the Masses, more than 150 artists from the area will be stationed in the Burney and Warwick centers, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Nov. 17 to sell their masterpieces for $250 or less per item.

The event's goal is to connect artists in the community with area residents who want to purchase original art.

Artists keep all of their proceeds. The university is asking guests to make donations at the door to support the public art program on campus.
