WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Tuesday night, the City of Wilmington will discuss funding options for a pedestrian bridge that would be built over South College Road.
Little information about the project is available, but documents from the city indicate the pedestrian overpass would cost $3 million.
The city would be required to spend $600,000, with the rest of the money coming from grants.
City council will discuss applying for a state grant that would help fund the project, and the S. College Road bicycle/pedestrian overpass was identified as the number one priority for the grant.
City council will meet at 6:30 p.m. at city hall.
