Zimmer Cancer Center welcomes Beach2Battleship athletes | News
WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Athletes from the PPD Beach2Battleship Triathlon were greeted Friday morning at New Hanover Regional Medical Center's Zimmer Cancer Center.
Members of the PPD Heroes team, featuring clinical trial participants and medical specialists who are taking part in the triathlon, shared encouragement and support in an effort to raise awareness of the importance of clinical trials.
Patients, families and staff of the Zimmer Cancer Center signed jerseys for the athletes to encourage them during their race.
