Crews to break ground on new section of Cross City Trail | News

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Crews will break ground on the Autumn Hall section of the Cross City Trail Friday afternoon.

The event will be held at 3:00 p.m. at the bridge at the foot of Teal Street, which was constructed last spring.

This portion of the trail will run through Autumn Hall, connecting the College Acres neighborhood with Eastwood Road.

According to a press release, the project will cost about $425,000, which was partially funded by state grants.

Construction should be finished by the end of the year.
