WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Dozens of people gathered at the northeast corner of Military Cutoff and Eastwood Roads in Wilmington Monday for a national birth rally.
Participants hoped to bring awareness to the need for evidence-based maternity care and the growing number of inductions of labor and cesarean sections.
The goal of the rally was to bring awareness to the need for birth options in the community.
More than 100 rallies took place at various locations nationwide.
