Local college students react to NCAA's Penn State decision | News

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – While the Penn State campus tried to come to terms with the NCAA's sanctions that strip former football coach Joe Paterno of his title, local college students are also reacting to Monday's news.

"You know, there's like that trill of, ‘Oh, our team could go all the way to the championship,' and without that, there wouldn't be the same energy with the crowd…and [people] probably wouldn't want to see them play as much."

Penn State University has accepted the penalties imposed by the NCAA and is making necessary changes.
