WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Folks driving down part of Wrightsville Avenue in Wilmington have been dealing with a lot of brake lights over the past few days.
The construction on Oleander Drive between Mimosa Place and Dawson Street is forcing drivers to take other routes, and a lot of people are using Wrightsville Avenue.
That's creating long lines of cars waiting for the light, and some people who live in the area are finding it difficult to commute.
"I live in the complex, and when I'm attempting to come out, it takes me about five minutes just to get on the road," said Dr. Ophelia Adams, a Wrightsville Avenue resident.
Construction on the railroad tracks on Oleander is expected to finish up Thursday night.
