Free physicals offered for prospective student athletes | Health

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Students who plan to participate in athletics in New Hanover County will need a mandatory physical examination.

Free exams are being offered at the New Hanover County Health Department, located at 2029 South 17th Street, for prospective student athletes.

Exams will be held on Thursday, May 24 for boys and on Thursday, June 7 for girls, according to a post on the New Hanover County Schools website.

Here are the times and dates students should show up:

Boys, May 24 at 6 p.m.

• Noble Middle
• Laney High
• Trask High
• Ashley High
• Murray Middle
• All private schools

Boys, May 24 at 6:45 p.m.

• Williston Middle
• Holly Shelter Middle
• New Hanover High
• Myrtle Grove Middle
• Roland Grise Middle
• Hoggard High

Girls, June 7 at 6 p.m.

• Noble Middle
• Laney High
• Trask High
• Ashley High
• Murray Middle
• All private schools

Girls, June 7 at 6:45 p.m.

• Williston Middle
• Holly Shelter Middle
• New Hanover High
• Myrtle Grove Middle
• Roland Grise Middle
• Hoggard High
