Fat Tony's at Racine location closes | Food

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - A restaurant close in proximity to UNC Wilmington's campus has closed.

The Fat Tony's that was once located off of Racine Drive, between The Fuzzy Peach frozen yogurt and Islands Fresh Mex Grill, closed about three weeks ago, according to officials who work with the downtown chain of the eatery.

The owners have reportedly sold the property, but it is not yet clear who new owner is.

Employees at the Fat Tony's downtown, however, say that their business is doing fine and that the restaurant there will remain open.
