Portion of Cross City Trail near completion | Environment

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) — Final touches are being made this week on a portion of the Cross City Trail that runs through the UNCW campus.

The section will be 3.4 miles long and will run from the intersection of Randall Parkway and South College Road, around campus along Rose Avenue, Mallard Drive, Rill Road and Teal Street, according to City of Wilmington Communications Manager Malissa Talbert.

The city reportedly received $2 million in federal stimulus funding for the phase of the trail.

Phase III is expected to be completed later this month.
