WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Moviegoers will have a chance to watch locally-filmed movie Mary and Martha.
ONE, a global organization that is fighting poverty and preventable disease (www.ONE.org), is teaming up with HBO to present the movie at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15 at UNCW's Randall Library second floor auditorium.
The movie was filmed on location in Wilmington last year.
Two-time Oscar winner, Hilary Swank, and Oscar nominee Brenda Blethyn star in the film.
It follows the story of two mothers who lose their children to malaria.
The two women bond and dedicate themselves to preventing others from losing their lives to the disease.
The movie debuted on HBO last month.
The screening at UNCW is open to the public.
