WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Fran Scarlett, Regional Director of the Small Business and Technology Development Center at UNCW, will be speaking soon to Isaac Bear Early College High School students, according to a news release from a NHC School System spokesperson.
She will be speaking to students Feb. 6 as part of the third "Launching Leaders" speaker series.
Scarlett, who holds an MBA from Harvard University, is in charge directing and coordinating business and economic development activated at the Wilmington Center.
The center serves seven counties in partnership with UNCW’s Cameron School of Business.
Additionally, Scarlett is an adjunct faculty member of the management of the Cameron School and she teaches organizational behavior and entrepreneurship.
Scarlett’s experience as a business strategy consultant, an entrepreneur, and corporate executive helped gain experience for her current position.
