Education

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – The superintendent of New
Hanover County schools is recommending the Board of Education pass a motion to
request commissioners to approve a bond referendum.

The referendum would include a school construction and
renovation bond. The amount of the bond will be determined by the Board of
Education and the Board of Commissioners.

The Board of Education also wants the bond item appear on
the November 2013 ballot for consideration by the voters of New Hanover County.
