City applies for grant to build new greenway | Community Spirit

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - The City of Wilmington is applying for a grant to fund the construction of a greenway along Park Avenue from Empie Park to Audubon Boulevard.

A public interest meeting will be held tonight at the Empie Park Tennis Clubhouse from 6-7.

The greenway would allow people to walk, bike, jog, rollerblade and roller-skate safely along a separate paved path that would connect to Empie Park and the Cross-City Trail.
