Administrators aim to spread UNCW Seahawk pride
NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) - You may have noticed more Seahawk pride coming from UNCW's campus.
Nearly 30 school banners are on light poles in front of the university on South College Road and off Racine Drive.
Administrators say it's part of their "Paint the Town Teal" campaign with the City of Wilmington, in which they're trying to get the community more involved with the school.
Basketball legend Magic Johnson will speak at UNCW Thursday.
University officials say that such events are getting people in the community more involved on campus.
