WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – UNCW has been recognized as one of the five best Public Master’s Universities in the south, according to the 2013 U.S. News & World Report rankings for regional universities.
UNCW has sustained a rank in the top 10 for the last 15 years.
"UNCW continues to merit high national rankings because of the quality of our students, faculty and staff, and the depth of our commitment to the journey of learning," said UNCW Chancellor Gary L. Miller in a press release. "The educational experience at UNCW thrives on the strength of our ideas and innovation. Our dedication to our place as North Carolina's coastal university, and our active involvement in the community, further enhances the learning opportunities at UNCW."
According to the university, UNCW tied with Union University in Jackson, TN for 14th place among public and private universities in the South.
