Classes at Friends School go high-tech | Children

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Friends School of Wilmington are going high-tech is launching a pilot program using digital technology in grades 3 - 8.

Equipment will include an iMac and iPads for students to use, a MacBook Pro for the teacher, and publishing software and equipment that allows for digital projection and printing.

The technology will let students broaden their education with digital design, virtual tours of art collections around the world, and digital photography.

Students' engagement and learning from the new program will be assessed at the end of the year.
