NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – The Landfall Foundation has awarded New Hanover County Schools approximately $54,000 in grants. A total of ten schools will directly benefit from the grants, while other partnering programs received grants that will impact student success.

Hoggard High School’s Band Booster Club received $6,000 to replace marching band uniforms with new ones for 100 students.

Additionally, Hoggard’s PTSA was granted $1,870 for the College Campus Tour Program to cover the cost of transportation for low-income students to NC colleges.

Roland-Grise Middle School was awarded $6,000 to fund the “21st Century Literacy at Roland-Grise Middle School” program. The money will help buy a class set of 35 electronic readerst hat will be used by teachers and students in classroom settings.
