Nonprofit organization launches with event at Mellow Mushroom | Business

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Clean Energy Events, a nonprofit organization that provides “information and insight on renewable energy use and conservation,” is officially launching on the first day of spring, March 20.

There will be a celebration event at the Mellow Mushroom restaurant, located at 4311 Oleander Drive, from 3-9 p.m.

Clean Energy Events will reportedly be powering local bands, including NC Strummers and Koostic Thang, with solar power. According to the company’s press release, there will also be demonstrations of solar powered generators on site.
