Lowes Foods on Oleander Drive closes its doors on Saturday for the final time | Business

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Patrons only have a few more days left to shop at the Lowes Foods grocery store located at 3804 Oleander Drive.

The store recently began posting fliers on its doors saying that it will be closing. According to the posters, the final day of operation will be Saturday, April 9.

Until then, there are new store hours at the Lowes Foods location. From now until Friday, April 8 the store will be open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. On Saturday, the store will open at 8 a.m., but plans on closing early at 5 p.m.

Because of the closing, the store will no longer be doing any Western Union or lottery transactions. The store has also already started removing items from the shelves and offering discounts on certain items.  

It is not yet known what will happen to the building structure. What do you think about the store closing?
