Starbucks to replace gas station at Oleander, Independence | Business

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – A Starbucks coffee shop will replace the former gas station on the corner of Oleander Drive and Independence Boulevard, according to an official with the Oleander Company.

Jim Smith said several businesses have inquired about the property, but Starbucks is the business that the owners are going to move forward with. The lease has been drawn up, Smith said, and a signature is all that is left to make the deal official.

Smith said the Starbucks will feature a drive-thru window.
