UNCW presents 'La Yuma'
WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – UNCW Centro Hispano will present Nicaragua’s first full-length feature in 20 years Thursday night in Lumina Theater.
The screening of La Yuma is part of the Pragda Spanish Film Festival.
Tickets are free with UNCW student ID and $4 for non-students. Student tickets are available an hour prior to the film in Sharky’s Box Office and Game Room. Non-student tickets are available on Etix.
La Yuma tells the story of a young woman who dreams of transcending her bleak life in the slums of Managua by becoming a boxer. Check out the film’s trailer above.
