Percussion performance to awe audience at Kenan Auditorium | Arts & Culture

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – The Royal Drummers and Dancers of Burundi will be performing at UNCW Wednesday evening.

This is one of the oldest and most renowned percussion ensembles in the world. They have been touring since the 1960s, sharing their passion and technique of percussion and culture.

According to UNCW, their performances have been described as “A celebration of ability, the sheer pleasure of competitive creativity,” by the New York Times.

Tickets for this event are $22 for the general public and $5 for students. The performance will be in Kenan Auditorium September 26 at 7 p.m.
