NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – If you’re planning on getting hitched anytime soon, and you or your future spouse are in the military, you may be in luck.
LJ Design Studio, an event planning business, is teaming up with a military group called Operation Marry Me Military to give away a free wedding to active military members, according to a spokesperson on behalf of LJ Design.
The chosen wedding will take place on Veteran’s Day of this year, which is Sunday, Nov. 11, in New Hanover County. The wedding will also include free lodging, venues, photographers, caterers, an officiate, a director and more, and all vendors and services come from the county the wedding is being hosted in.
Those who apply for the wedding will have their applications sent to Operation MMM’s headquarters in Oak Island, where a panel of former military judges will select the applicant they feel most deserves the wedding.
On November 11 of last year, five couples were married through Operation MMM, which totaled to over $200,000 in free goods and services. If your business is interested in offering goods or services towards the free wedding, call 910-742-2563 or email info@ljeventdesign.com.
