WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Officers with the Wilmington Police Department arrested two people early Saturday morning accused of breaking into several vehicles at Candlewyck Apartments off of Kerr Avenue.

According to Cpl. Kevin Smith, offers were called to the apartments around 3:00 a.m. in reference to several attempted vehicle break-ins.

Smith said officers spotted Nichole Catledge, 23, and Jason Rigsby, 27, in the area as they were trying to leave in a white Subaru. Officers found suspicious items in their car and were able to link those things to another car in the apartment complex.

Catledge was charged with conspiracy to commit B&E auto, and Rigsby was charged with felony B&E auto, larceny, and conspiracy to commit B&E auto.
