According to police, the robber broke in through the backdoor of the Sonic Drive-In on Market Street, just before midnight. Police say the door had been propped open during a smoke break.
Employees told police the man stuck a silver automatic handgun in the manager's face and demanded money.
The manager handed over the money and the man left in a black Chrysler Sebring with several others inside. The car was waiting for him nearby.
Witnesses told police the man was thin and was about 5'6" tall. He was wearing a grey shirt, black gloves, black and white checkered pajama pants, and a blue scarf over his face.
