WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Wilmington Police Department officers in the northwest patrol division caught the person who is believed to be responsible for several break-ins in the Sunset Park area, according to WPD spokesperson Lucy Crockett.

Joseph Callie Harrell, 25, was apprehended in the 5100 block of Oleander Drive around 9 p.m. on Sunday on several outstanding warrants for probation violations.

Crockett said that after being interviewed by detectives, Harrell was also charged with the recent break-ins and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was scheduled to make his first court appearance on Monday afternoon.
